NFL Lab

A hands-on football workspace for testing a season prediction and rebuilding the league’s divisions in a way that is easy to see, explain, and share.

What it is

  • A public experiment space for exploring two big NFL questions: how a season might play out and how the divisions could be redrawn.

What already exists

  • A season predictor for calling every game on a team’s schedule.
  • A division realignment tool for reorganizing all 32 teams.

Active work

  • Make team moves feel direct: drag and drop, an Unassigned holding area, and Clear All.
  • Use an accurate contiguous-U.S. map with accurate NFL city anchors.
  • Fill the U.S. boundary with clean division territories, using eight distinct vivid colors.
  • Add simple branded sharing and download for one exact realignment.

Planned next

  • Custom Power RankingsLet people rank all 32 teams using metrics they choose. The exact interaction is still exploratory, with sharing desired later.
  • Playoff Picture / Season PredictorA later-season view of current standings, who would be in or out today, games behind, and user-picked results for remaining games that update the playoff bracket. This needs accurate current-season data and correct tiebreaker handling.
  • NFL Matchup ResearchA future educational, user-configured analysis tool inspired by the MLB Kalshi watch list. It would show transparent matchup factors and uncertainty without promises or personalized recommendations. Users make their own decisions, and outcomes can lose money.

Dude Mode

The future name for an optional AI-powered experience. Dude Mode is being planned, but it is not a live feature and has no promised launch date.

What stays free

  • The tools that already exist on the site will remain free to use.
  • Dude Mode is planned as a separate future experience for AI-powered tools.

Planned foundation

  • Future AI-powered tools will need a secure account foundation.
  • Google sign-in through Supabase is preferred so this site does not manage passwords.
  • Stripe may later handle paid credits, and users may receive a small monthly starter allowance.

Clear usage

  • People should see a clear credit balance and a simple history of how credits were used.
  • The owner side will need a cost and credit ledger so usage and spending can be checked.

Before launch

  • Plain-language safeguardsPremium sports and prediction research must be described as entertainment, informational, and educational only—not financial, gambling, betting, investment, or personalized advice.
  • Review firstAcknowledgements and site policies need review before any account, credit, or AI-powered experience launches.
  • No launch promiseThis card records the confirmed direction. It does not mean these features are available now, and no launch date is promised.

Planning only. The tools already coded on this site remain free. Accounts, paid credits, and protected AI features are not live.
